Salma Hayek

I was watching Grown Ups the other day and noticed that Salma spoke in Spanish. I never noticed it before so I'm writing about it now. She spoke really fast and it was hard to understand but I was able to make most of it out, which was cool. In the movie, Salma plays the wife of Adam Sandler and is a successful fashion designer who has a huge house and is spoiled. Grown Ups is really funny and I reccommend it to everyone who is in the mood for some humor. I find it ironic that Salma plays a rich person in the movie because it is said she was spolied as a child.

Salma Hayek was born in 1966, in Veracruz, Mexico. Her father is of Mexican descent and is a rich businessman. Her mother is an opera singer too. Salma knew early in her teens that she wanted to become an actor. She was a troublemaker in school, but became successful. Her first acting job was on a Mexican soap opera. She wasn't treated the same as other actors in California, but overcame that and is very noticed today. In 2009, she gave birth to her first child, Valentina. To me, Salma shows how coming from a good background is lucky, but you will still have hardships and anything is possible, you just have to work to get what you want.
