The volatile Venezuelan has finally exited Chicago. Through the years he has provided some entertainment, good and bad. His 23 homeruns is a record for Chicago Cubs pitchers. Then there was his MLB-first neutral site no-hitter. Beyond those, though, his media has been negative. Many times he has broken a bat over his knee for simply striking out, an expectation for most pitchers when hitting. Still, there is hope for him, having been traded to the Miami Marlins, managed by his fellow Venezuelan friend, Ozzie Guillen. Perhaps a new start is just what he needs.
