I enjoy shopping very much, I mean who doesn't? Well last weekend I went shopping with my mom in Cedar Rapids. We were in Von Maur and all of a sudden I heard a woman rambling off in fluent Spanish. I was stunned at how fast she was speaking! I tried listening to see if I could figure out what she was saying, but it was just too fast for me. Then a little bit later we were in a different store and I heard a family communicating with each other in Spanish. I could understand a little bit of what they were saying. They weren't speaking as fast, but a good pace. Its amazing how many Spanish families live in the U.S. and how many times we encounter with them.
I really enjoy listening to Spanish people communicate, it's very interesting. When we hear Spanish people talk we usually think that they talk really fast, but I imagine they think the same when we talk. It goes both ways.
Think of this most likley anywhere you go you will hear or see a Spanish speaking family. Next time you hear someone speaking in Spanish try to figure it out!
